Portugal Training Camp 5posted by WCDP Manager on24-10-2007

Few niggles now creeping in and increased training intensity against what athletes would normally do in a week is becoming evident. We are fortunate to have access to excellent physio facilities available through the National Sports Centre.

So following early swim today it was over to the range for a shoot under competition rules. Kate French one of 3 athletes in the 180's with a 97 second 10 shots on her way to a score186, Jack with a 183 and Sam 180 - some impressive shooting by the whole squad.

Tonight we meet up with the National Junior Fencing Squad to fence them in prep for the Junior European Fencing Championships, it will be a new experience in fencing for some of our younger youth athletes, all are looking forward to it. The fencing is about 20-25mins away from the hotel and expected to finish about 10pm so probably a later night to bed tonight. Luckily no early morning swim tomorrow!
