A new funding opportunityis shortly coming on line.

MARS Refuel is giving consumers the opportunity to give their sports club a 'leg up' with the help of the MARS Refuel Fund. The fund, which launches on 1 July and runs until 31 December 2008, has up to 10,000 to donate each month, with a maximum of 500 per applicant. The MARS Refuel Fund is offering support with anything from equipment costs, to improving training grounds and club houses.

Applications can be made online at Applicants must be 12 years or over and only one application will be accepted per person, club or organisation.

Entries received for the Schools Biathlon Invitational Event at the Modern Pentathlon World Cup at Millfield on the 29/30 March can be found here.

Athletes should arrive at Millfield Swimming Pool for registration at 10am. Please note that parking is at the Clarks Distribution Centre in Street (opposite Sainsbury's) from where there is a Park and Ride service which commences at 9am.

BRITISH SCHOOLS' BIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS 2007posted by Jill Andrews on06-02-2007

Entries for the Schools' Biathlon closed on Friday 2nd February, with a few queries still to be sorted we have in the region of 850 competitors travelling to The University of Bath on 25th February.

We are keen to get parents and teachers involved in running the event so if you are able to offer help as a volunteer official it will be much appreciated. Swim and Run officials are urgently required for either all day or just part of it,any help will assist the eventto run as smoothly as possible.

If you enjoy dealing with people then maybe you could help us on Registration or even photocopying and selling results, checking Child Protection Forms etc.
